Default Trump Stote .52 Cor 275 comp review

I just received some samples of the Trump .52 cor 275 comp balls and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with how they performed. The balls stayed true to form as stated by Trump's vendor. The testing was done at night in about 45 degree weather. ASA, UTrip, Sr. Edition Bats were used. Even shaved and rolled bats were used in the testing. We also mixed in some of trumps .44 cor 375 balls and Dudley Thunder SW12 and SB12's. As the temperature dropped the .4 cor balls hardened up and were taking off like missiles. While the .52 cor balls stayed nuetral. The once difference that was immediately noticed is that the .52 cor balls felt lighter at first and sounded softer when you made contact. The ball would still travel the same distance, but you had to hit the ball right on the head. This is a far improvement from having 5'7 175 lb. guys hitting a .44 cor ball off the hands or end of the bat for over 300'. Good hitters will remain good hitters, while those who will need to improve must do so. This ball has promise and should make softball a complete game once again and not just a bp session.
As league director of a municipality league in southern California, we will definitely be using this ball for our upcoming season in January. At the recreation level we must keep the game fun and most importantly safe for all players of all skill levels. Serious tournament players will still have their options of participating in leagues or tournaments where other types of balls will be used and be hitter friendly.
I look forward to seeing the results we will have in our upcoming season and will post updates as soon as I get feedback.

Default 52/275 balls

I agree , Mike sent me a dz. to hit in early spring and I really like the ball. The key to distance with these balls in cutting them, if you hit it dead center you can feel the ball compress and the distance is greatly reduced, and I think that makes the ball even better because it is easy to control what you want to do when hitting them. A good solid mid ball hit (275.comp.)to the in a gap is a great base knock, but turn on one and cut the lower half and the 52.cor takes over and the ball may not sound like you crushed it but the end result makes a state ment. 350-400FT Shoots are very attainable with these balls. I had convinced our local leagues to switch to these balls and the league has become a much more competative one by doing so.

I see the word is getting out with these balls, i have seen lots of tourneys that are using the 52/275 should be interesting. Before you start hating on this ball, veteran players remember the Hardwood ball in the 80's and you young studs just think about the gold dots, grey dots, spirits and other crap balls you have hit, and most of all always always remember the ball is coming in underhand lolol
